However, the technique has been applied mostly to human and animal in many areas such as paternity dispute, convince in forensic cases of identity identification in the disaater event, conservation of endangers species, traceability of animal illegal trade and correct source of animal meat product. Because animal live in close contact with human and trace evidence from animal is a common finding at crime scenes. It provides an important link between victims and suspects. By using DNA markers that spread throughout the genome and PCR technique, a unique genetic pattern of individual is identified. In the advance of biotechnology, small amount of DNA samples is required in order to achieve satisfactory power of discrimination. |
